I listened to the record years ago. I thought, "That's how a poet sounds." But now, there's room for interpretation. He performed like only he could, like there was no other way he could. But the feelings and experiences are so universal, it demands one's own personal response, and therein a harmony between the original and a re-creation occurs.

According to our friend Mike Hajek (via Wikipedia)today, November 9th, is the anniversary of Dylan Thomas' death in 1953 - 58 years ago. And still we celebrate his gifts.
